The magical island of the hippies, crystal clear waters, peaceful nature and the most legendary parties: Ibiza. In the past, the Spaniards from the mainland mostly came to Ibiza to sing, dance and smoke. These hippies knew how to find each other here. There was a free atmosphere, it was spiritual and a nice place for artists. Today this atmosphere is still there, but of course a lot has changed in recent years. Ibiza is seen by many people as the party island where the best DJs play and you can go to the coolest parties. However, Ibiza also has a quiet and natural side where you can relax and enjoy the peace and soothing nature.
Party
The party season in Ibiza officially starts on the first weekend of June and runs until the first week of October. In this last week, also called the closing week, the most legendary, most spectacular and largest parties in the world are held. The parties are therefore quickly sold out.
The Ibiza nightlife
It is well known that you can party until late at night in Ibiza. Most of the clubs are in and around Eivissa (Ibiza Town), Playa d’en Bossa and Sant Antoni. Ushuaia is Ibiza’s most famous outdoor club. The biggest DJs can be found here every night of the week. Think of DJ David Guetta, Martin Garrix, Armin van Buuren and Hardwell. You will definitely have the best night of your life here from about 5 PM till 12AM. Pacha Ibiza is a club with an exotic atmosphere and a luxurious interior. Upon entering the club, you can choose in which room you want to party. Each room has its own kind of music. The ultramodern club Hi Ibiza has been open since 2017 and is already very popular. Hi Ibiza is located next to Ushuaia, so when Ushuaia closes its doors at 12 am, you can cross the street and continue partying at Hi Ibiza.

Beach club
A visit to a beach club cannot be missed during your stay on Ibiza. Whether you come to party or just chill. You can do both at Nikki beach. From the beach club you have a beautiful view over the beach and the sea. In addition to the beautiful view, you can also enjoy the delicious meals that are prepared here. The beach club is best known for its organized theme parties. Near Eivissa (Ibiza Town) and Talamanca you will find Destino Ibiza. Officially Destino Ibiza is a hotel with over one hundred and seventy rooms. But unlike many other hotels, the doors are always open for day visitors. If you want to party at Destino Ibiza you can go to the disco which is located the cellar the hotel. Many fun parties are also organized around the pool. Beach club Blue Marlin Ibiza is one of the hotspots of Ibiza. The trendy and exclusive beach club is located along the beach Cala Jondal. At Blue Marlin you can enjoy a snack and a drink while looking out at the many luxury yachts that lie off the coast of Cala Jondal. Blue Marlin is also known for its big parties. Major brands such as Playboy and Gray Goose host sponsored parties here.

Peace
You wouldn’t say it, but it can be very quiet in Ibiza. If you don’t want to have anything to do with the discos and parties, it is best to leave for Ibiza in the months of April and May. It is already pleasantly warm, but the large discos are generally still closed. So, you will not be bothered by the party animals and loud music.
Under the stars
If you just want to chill you can go to various spots on Ibiza. Some beaches in Ibiza are more crowded than others. If you prefer to visit a quieter beach, you can go to s’Estanyol. A lovely little beach hidden just outside of Jesus. There is a cozy restaurant where there are regular parties in the high season. Still, you can spend the day peacefully here during the day. A very nice area also for walking around because of its beautiful nature. You can also go to the beach Cala Comte which is located in Sant Josep. According to some, Cala Comte is the last quiet paradise in Ibiza. The water is crystal clear and from this beautiful rocky bay you have a view of a few smaller islands that are scattered off the coast where you can easily swim to. Cala Comte is the place where you can enjoy one of the most beautiful sunsets and watch the soothing starry sky in peace.
Hippies
Ibiza is also known to many people as a hippie island. The island has also been called “a place for free spirits and alternatives”. You can be yourself and there is a unique energy. Would you like to taste this unique atmosphere? Then you can go to one of the many hippie markets. In these atmospheric markets you will often find live music in addition to a lot of handmade jewelry and bags. One of the bigger and better-known hippy market is Las Dalias. From June to September there are also night markets at Las Dalias that are definitely worth a look. Cala Benirrás is a beautiful beach with very clear water and thereby perfect for snorkeling. In the evening, the famous hippie ritual ‘drum down the sunset’ takes place here, where hippies are drumming exciting beats while the sun goes down.

Nature
Ibiza has a beautiful calm nature where you can find your inner peace. The nature reserves in Ibiza are also largely protected by the World Heritage list. The large amount of pine trees in particular attracts attention on the island. Ibiza is even called the island of the pine trees by the Greeks. Besides the many pine trees on the island you can also enjoy the 2 beautiful rocks in the sea off the coast in the southwest of Ibiza. Es Vedra and her little sister Es Vedranall have a mystical character and resemble a sleeping dragon in the twilight of the setting sun. Whether you view the rock from the beach Cala D’Hort or from the nearby viewpoint. You won’t be able to take your eyes off the view. You will also encounter quite a few yoga classes when you go to look at Es Vedra. They will take in the magical energy of Es Vedra and completely relax to unwind. Another dazzling place is Freus’ Marine Reserve. This protected marine area is located between the islands of Ibiza and Formentera and is characterized by a unique and untouched underwater world. Seagrass beds, caves, colorful corals and wrecks are hidden here under the water surface.
So, you can party, watch the sunsets while you dance with hippies, go to a hippie market, snorkel at the beautiful marine reserve or wander away while looking at the magical rocks Es Vedra and Es Vedranall. There is so much more that Ibiza has to offer. Like I said. Ibiza is the perfect balance between party and peace. Go, and see for yourself.
