Everything you need to know about Dubai nightlife😎
Dubai has a lot of opportunities when it comes to activities during the day. Let me tell you a bit about Dubai before I will mention all the great things you can do.
Dubai is the capital city and one of the seven states from the UAE (United Arab Emirates). The city counts 3.1 million inhabitants, and they would be known as the business center of west-Asia. The oil revenues generated the city’s enormous development.
Now that you have a little knowledge about Dubai, let’s talk about some nice activities you can do when you visit Dubai. These activities are interesting for everyone but especially for students.
.
Burj Khalifa
In 2018 I visited Dubai for the third time. Dubai is so much fun and there is so much to see, so you will never get bored of it. When I went to Dubai for the first time, the first thing we went to see was the Burj Khalifa. It is 828-meter-high and by far the highest building in the world. Of course, it’s free to look at the Burj Khalifa from the ground, but if you want to see the view from the top, you will have to pay a price of 71 euros. This could be expensive for students, but believe me, it’s worth the price to pay. Once you’ll be upstairs, you will never forget the view. So, I definatly recommend you pay a visit to the beautiful Burj Khalifa.
Dubai Mall🗼
When you have visited the Burj Khalifa, the next thing to do is to go to the Dubai Mall. The Dubai Mall is part of the Burj Khalifa and it’s the world’s biggest shopping mall. There are over 1200 shops. You’ll find brands like Chanel, Dior and Louis Vuitton but also brands like Zara and H&M.
It is impossible to see every part of the shopping mall in one day but it’s defiantly worth to look around and see the building from the inside. In the shopping mall there, is the biggest aquarium in the world. And if that’s not enough there is also an indoor ski hall. This is very expensive, but it is nice to see. On the lowest level of the Dubai Mall you’ll find a food corner with many different types of food. Ideal for students who haven’t got a lot of money to spend on food.
Beach in Dubai🌅🔆
The weather in Dubai is always good. So, if you are tired of walking through the city and you just want a day to relax. You must have to pay a visit to the beautiful beaches of Dubai. They have everything you can dream about, the white sand, the crystal blue water, no clouds and a lovely temperature. But there are a few things you need to know before you’ll go to every random beach you see. Some beaches are especially for hotel guests and some beaches you must have to stick to the dress code rules.
One of Dubai’s most Populaire public beaches is Jumeirah Open Beach. During the weekend the locals, expets and the tourist come together to enjoy the beautiful beach. When you’ve seen enough from Jumeirah beach, you can also go to Kite Beach, this is next to the most expensive hotel: Burj al Arab. This beach is the best choice if you want to do watersports. Even if you’re a student and haven’t got a lot of money to spend, you’d probably would like to go to a beach club once in a while. If that’s the case, you’ll find the fanciest beach clubs around the Palm of Dubai.
Restaurants in Dubai afternoon🌮
For students it’s hard to find cheap but fancy restaurants. But I’ve got a few restaurants for you which you’ll have to pay a visit to. Dubai has a lot of different kitchens. For example: the Lebanon kitchen, The Arabic kitchen, the Asian kitchen and the Chinese kitchen. The specialty of Dubai is the Lebanon kitchen. There are so many low budget restaurants in this category of food. The following restaurants have really nice food for a very accessable price.
My favorite low budget restaurant in Dubai is the operation falafel beach. In this restaurant you’ll experience the ultimate street food ambiance. They use spices which combines the old street market with the 21ste century. They always use fresh products and traditional recipes, where they can distinguish themselves with. The restaurant is located at 6 places in Dubai. The most favorable places are Al Sufouh and Dubai Marina. These places are easy to visit with the metro. They score a 4,5 on a scale of 5. For every meal you’ll pay 2 – 3 euros.
My second favorite low budget restaurant in Dubai is Zaroob. Zaroob, literally means ‘small alley’. This is a concept which is inspired by the traditional street food vendors found around the levant region. Zaroob captures the best aspects of simple cooking and brings the atmosphere of a theatrics ambiance and the history of Arab street food to a modern audience. Zaroob stands out from other restaurant in the way that they have a very unique design and interior décor. The traditional recipes are handed down through families form one generation to the next. Zaroob is located at 5 places in Dubai. The 2 most popular places are in Dubai Marina and Dubai Downtown. I went to Dubai Downtown and it was amazing. Zaroob gets a score of 4 on a scale of 5. For every meal you’ll pay 4 – 21 euros.
Restaurants in Dubai dinner🍔
For everyone who would like to spend a bit more on a dinner, you must have to go to the Buddha bar in Dubai Marina. Dubai Marina is one of the most atmospheric places in Dubai. With all the luxury boats and high buildings, it creates a super nice ambiance. The Buddah Bar is located at the end of the Dubai Marina and has a beautiful view over the marina.
Not only is the food amazing, you are blowing away from the stunning intrerior which takes sophistication to new heights. Because of the overhead chandeliers, opulent décor and large bay windows with exceptional views of Dubai Maria there taking you on a magical journey.
Their cuisines are inspired by China, Japan and Thailand. The food is so amazing. When I went to the Buddah bar in 2018, it was such a nice experience. The whole ambiance in combination with the food litterly makes it feel like you’re in heaven.
Wild Wadi💧
Another nice activity to do when you’re in Dubai is to visit Wild Wadi. This is the first big waterpark that opened his doors in 1998. The park is located next to the Jumeira Beach hotel, Al Qasr, Mina a Salam and of course the iconic Burj al Arab hotel.
In Wild Wadi there are many different pools, waterslides and other water attractions. For every age category. The main attraction is the Jumeirah Sceirah. This waterslide starts at a height of 32 meters. There you fall through a hole after which you cover a distanced of 120 meters at a speed of 80 kilometers per hour. Before you visit Wild Wadi there are a few things you need to know.
- You can rent a loccer.
- Towels are very expensive
- You are allowed to use a go pro, except during the Jumeirah Sceirah.
- It’s not allowed to bring your own food and drinks to the waterpark
- You can change clothes inside the park
You have to pay entrée for the waterpark unless you’re a guest at one of the hotels from the Jumeirah group. Everyone above 1,10 meter pays an entrée from 70 euros per person.
Wald Wadi is one of the best waterparks in Dubai. Back in 2016 when I visited Dubai for the first time, I went to Atlantis. That’s another waterpark in Dubai with the same waterslides and attractions as in Wild Wadi. But even though Atlantis was super cool, Wald Wadi is so much more fun. The waterslides are incredible, and the ambiance is really nice.
Desert safari🐨
The last activity I would like to recommend is a dessert safari. Dubai is not just a city. It’s surrounded by a beautiful dessert. It would be a pity if you haven’t seen that part of Dubai. You could go on a safari by camels. When you choose this way, it is very romantic and peaceful. You can watch the endless desert and sunset.
But, many students like a bit of adventure. They can choose a buddy instead of a camel. With the buddy you can cross trough the dessert and really live in the moment. At the end you can also watch the sunset and have a nice drink.
I’ve told you a lot of thing you can do in Dubai during the day. But Dubai also has a very interesting nightlife. Are you curious about the things you can do in Dubai during the night? Feel free to read the article about the nightlife in Dubai:
